These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Helpa platform, including our website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, "Helpa"). By accessing or using Helpa, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

1. Definitions

  • "Seeker":  Anyone booking services through Helpa.
  • "Provider": Verified professionals offering services via Helpa.
  • "Platform": Helpa's website, mobile apps, and related services.
  • "Service": Any task or job booked through Helpa.

2. Account Registration

  • Seekers and Providers must create an account with accurate, current information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Helpa reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.


3. Service Bookings

  • Seekers may browse and book services from verified Providers.
  • Providers set their own availability, pricing, and service terms, subject to Helpa's approval.
  • Cancellation policies vary by Provider and will be disclosed at booking.


4. Payments & Fees

  • Seekers agree to pay the total service fee, including any applicable taxes.
  • Helpa charges a service fee (commission) to Providers for each completed booking.
  • Payments are processed securely via third-party providers.
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed per the Provider’s cancellation policy.


5. Provider Responsibilities

  • Providers must:
    • Deliver services as described in their profile.
    • Comply with all applicable laws and safety standards.
    • Maintain necessary licenses, insurance, and permits.
  • Providers are independent contractors, not employees of Helpa.


6. Seeker Responsibilities

  • Seekers must:
    • Provide accurate service requirements.
    • Treat Providers with respect and fairness.
    • Pay for services rendered unless a dispute is filed (see Section 8).


7. Dispute Resolution

  • Issues with services must be reported to Helpa within 24 hours of completion.
  • Helpa may mediate disputes but is not liable for Provider actions or service quality.
  • Repeated false complaints may result in account suspension.


8. Intellectual Property

  • All content on Helpa (logos, text, graphics) is owned by or licensed to Helpa.
  • Seekers and Providers may not copy, modify, or distribute Helpa’s content without permission.


9. Limitation of Liability

  • Helpa acts as a marketplace and is not responsible for:
    • The quality, safety, or legality of services provided.
    • Interactions between Users and Providers.
    • Damages arising from platform use (to the extent permitted by law).


10. Termination

  • Helpa may terminate or suspend accounts for violations of these Terms.
  • Seekers and Providers may deactivate accounts at any time.

11. Governing Law


These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cape Town.


12. Changes to Terms


Helpa may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
